Sometimes, you need to watch a show that is pure fluff. A show you know really doesn’t hold up to further analysis, a show that is predictable and formulaic, but a show that is fun. To me, that’s what Turn Up Charlie is.
In addition to reading books and learning the history of white supremacy and racism in this country, we should listen to Black voices. I am committed to doing a better job of this and will work to write about more shows telling Black stories.

If I had to describe Unorthodox in one word, it would be compelling. I started it late one night intending to watch just one episode and get a taste.
